Where can I install an EV charger?
An EV charger installation requires an off-street parking area, such as a driveway, carport or garage. Whilst charging your EV car with a cable running from your home across a pavement is technically allowed in many areas, it is not advised. This is because of the risk of injury to another person, for which you would be liable. - Tethered or untethered cable? An untethered EV charger can connect to almost any car which is useful for multi-EV households – or if you have visitors. The charger cable is stored in the car itself with this cable style. With a tethered cable charger design the cable remains attached to the EV charger which leaves you with more space in your boot.
